2006 Civic Keyless entry programming method.
Hello,
Does anybody know the method of programming a 2006 Civic keyless entry key? It seems that the old method where the key was separate from the fob does not work on the new model.
Thanks

as far as i know, no one has figured out how to program their key and i believe that only dealerships can do it. prices have ranged anywhere for $100-300 to program your key.
For the '06, you'll HAVE TO go to the dealership. AFAIK, the only 8th gen that were able to program the remote entry yourself are the '07s.

Reason I am trying to program a key is I got a 09 RDX Flip key and I want to make it work on my car. I have already cut the key and pulled the transponder out of my valet key and replaced it with the one in the RDX key and the car will start and drive fine, I just dont have a clicker.
Interesting that only the 06 model does not work. Ill swing by the dealership tomorrow. Thanks guys.
