I got a lot of thieves in my neighborhood so can anyone give me info on how I can disable my trunk opener? I think I have to pull some wires apart from somewhere, but not sure where.

 

so the mechanism (inside the car, left of drivers seat, on floor) to open the trunk also has a gas door release connected.
On that same piece there is a keywhole. Insert key and turn.
Now you need a key to get inside the trunk.

The only way from there is to open with a key!

I read the title for this thread and thought you were having a discussion on installing either an on-board breath-a-lyzer or one of those drunk 'o meters which kills any hope of starting my car.

Boy, was I surprised!

Anyway, if the afore mentioned key slot on your Trunk / Gas Door release is all crudded up and won't accept the key; you can go back and disconnect the operating cable from the trunk lock mechanism.
