enabling the aux-in
I have a friend with an 08 civic and it has an aux-in button but no visable aux-in port. The honda dealer said they would set it up for 300$, is there anyway we can do it ourselves?

The only way to do it would be to get a peripheral harness. You can find one at a local Best Buy, or http://www.crutchfield.com
After you get that part, you can absolutely do it yourself... there should be a harness available for your car that will allow you to do so, but don't get your hopes up, I haven't seen one available for the new Honda harness. But just because I haven't seen it doesn't mean it isn't out there.
They usually run around 150$
