will the paint come off?

so i have rims that have been rattle can painted. my question is, if i sand it, will the layer of spray paint remove leaving the original color, or will it go away with it?

You can sand it, but you're going to run into uneven spots. I would just strip em and refinish, probably less of a headache.

Mar-Hyde Aircraft Coating Remover works really good. Just follow the directions on the can. You can pick it up at most auto parts stores.
