Ok here is my problem. I have what sounds like a rod knocking at 2000-2200 rpms no noise before that or after that rpm. Put new rod and main bearings and it makes the same sound and at the same rpms. I can turn the dist. and slow the timing down and the knock range changes a few hundred rpms but is still there. Another issue it seems to only knock after the the oil gets warm. After the oil gets warm the cel light comes on, thats when i notice the knock. When i try to check the cel codes there are none. Everytime that I turn the car off and back on the cel is off and only comes on when the car heats up. The speedo does not work and have re-placed the speed sensor and it still does not work. Would the light come on because of the speedo and as long as i am not moving it stays off? Thanks for anty help
