Default What paint is better/cheaper for painting wheels?

I have some kosei K1 rims that I want to paint black.

Would a single stage urethane enamel paint be good?

I've never painted before, I have these wheels just lying around and they need to be painted, so I thought that they would be a good practice.

Can someone give me a detailed outline of the steps I would need to go through?

I have a nice dewalt compressor and i'm going to pick up a little cheap HVLP paint gun to practice with.
