Default Replacing an aftermarket Radio in 1994 Civic

I just bough a 1994 Civic coupe today, and I have my own headunit that I want to put in it. However I do not have the keys to remove the previous owners headunit, and so the only other way to have this accomplished is looking like removing the entire dash.

Is there an easier way to get at the radio/remove it?

Your help is appreciated

Yes, remove the faceplace and trim ring and use a small flat screw driver to unbend the tangs that hold the cage in the dash, slide the stereo out cage and all, you may need to remove the lower part of the dash (part with ashtry in it, 4 screws) and push from the back.
