2008 Sema Build - Lancer Evolution X 56k... NO NO!
I know this is a Honda Board.., thought you guys might like something different.
It's been along time since i've had a Honda, but i've been a member of this board since 03, under DC2_typer .
Honda's are what got me into modding cars.
Here was my first accomplishment:

Then I jumped outta the Honda Scene and got into a 2003 Lancer Evolution VIII :

I then got bored of the "speed" and "fast" cars... so I thought it would be time for a change... and I thought I was done with "sporty" cars... so I bought a 2007 Chevy Tahoe:

Drove that around for about a year...
Then that feeling came back... about modding cars and ****... so I ended up trading my 2007 Tahoe in... for a 2008 Lancer Evolution X :

I drive the car around town, FOR LESS then a week... haha.. about 280 miles... Then I find myself at the doorsteps of Mike W. and Road Race Engineering, wanting more power. They welcome the car with open arms and tear down the OEM Intake/Exhaust and Intercooler set up. Almost 1 month of my car being at the shop, all custom parts built for it and ECUTek tuned.. the car puts down a whoppin 355 whp, and around 347 torque.
Not bad considering the baseline dyno was 246 whp/ 271 torque... so where at a over a 100+ horsepower gain, and over 70+ torque..
Car feels like a monster! ..

So then I drive the car around.... for another... 2 weeks TOPS! then I get an offer from Seibon Carbon... to produce all of my Factory Aero parts into Carbon Fiber.. starting from front to back: Lip, foglight covers, grill, hood, fenders, side skirts, front doors, rear doors, rear caps, rear diffuser, trunk, and wing..... so.. mind you... brand new car for the most part... MSRP fully loaded was $39,999.99... STRIPPED!

Well... 1 thing leads to another... and I start parting the factory stuff out. Nav.. GONE.. front seats GONE.. OEM Turbo Kit.. GONE! and getting into more depth of the car... we decide to strip out the interior... BYE BYE! dry ice the floor, so no more sound deadener GONE..Silicon on the floor at the welds, GONE, rear deck... GONE:

Mr Lod Dog puttin in mucho work!

All this is in prep.... for! DUN DUN DUN! ... you guessed it! ROLL CAGE! Yep... so I call up Tube Services in Norwalk... order about 115 ft of 1.75 .120 Wall DOM Steel. anddddddddddd off to work Lod Dog went.... Built this cage like a mad man! Lemme tell you... THIS **** Takes PATIENCE!! mind you... I don't have them... so I was pretty much the gofer.... you know "go for this" "go for that" kinda guy.. haha..
Lod puttin in work! DO WORK SON!

Finished product:

Then comes the clean up of the cage... wiped everything down.... Now off to paint! I opted to just paint the interior of the car.... DTM Auto body is VERY VERY Exspensive... EVEN with a hook up! ... so call the tow truck... and off goes the car!
I also get a call from Seibon.... " Your Doors, fenders and side skirts are in".... so while the car is at DTM, I drop by Seibon, load my truck up, and head over to DTM.... drop off the goodies, and had them install the stuff:

Some pics of the CF goodies:

....
So... got the car back to Road Race Engineering....and this arrives in the mail!
PWR OEM Replacement Radiator!

Now...
We are in talks with Turbochargers.com... about running there Turbo replacement for the Evo X.. and just for ***** and giggles, I contact AFI Turbo.. based outta Arizona, well known in the Honda Scene, and just making there way to the EVO Scene, owner Jessie, owns a EVO VIII.... so we start PM'ing each other on EVOM... he asks for my number, we talk about the plans for the car, and what not, and also talk about the future of the car and things he'd like to make for the EVO X... well.. one thing leads to another, and the next week, I am trailering my car across CA and into AZ! Dropping it off at AFI to get some custom work done!
Twinscroll Garret GT 3076, twin 44mm v-band Tial Wastegates, SS Twinscroll Manifold, V-band dump tubes, V-band 3" Down Pipe, AN Fittings, 3.5" Garret Intercooler, 2.5" Upper IC pipe, and 3" lower IC pipe, Tial 50mm V-band BOV along w/ a 3" custom Intake.:
A Pic while the car was at AFI

We are still waiting on the AFI Turbo Billet Alum Fuel Rail. Should be here soon..........
Which brings us to the next chapter.... OIL COOLER!
I ordered a Seatrab oil cooler, fittings and some -8 AN lines + block fittings.:

Andddddddd since we removed the AC/Heater, and the little radiator for the AC, we were left with an ugly power steering cooler thingy just hangin there... so I go to Baker Precision in Signal Hill/Long Beach.. and get an "upgraded power steering cooler" that looks cool! haha:

I also picked up a BAKER Battery... which is approx 16lbs. and has some serious power!
...............................
I get another call from Seibon... sayin some other stuff is ready to be picked up.
Seibon CF Trunk :

Seibon CF EVO X Big SSS Wing:

a few weeks pass...
Then another call from Seibon...
Lip, Foglight covers, grill, rear diffuser and bumper are back from Japan!:

Didnt have the lip 100% on before I took this pic :

Also... Apexi was so kind to send over there Prototype Evo X RS Twin Tip Exhaust, and a Set of there N1 EXV Coilovers.:

..........................
Which brings me to this weekend... 10/18/2008
Next week, some serious updates will be taking place...
