YES! It's a bolt on affair...
EDIT: You can make bracket's to make it more secure but allot of people do not use them.

Here ya go!
1. Put the car up on jack stands and remove the rear wheels.
2. Remove the one screws and one bolt on each side of the wheel well.

3. Remove the five black plastic fasteners three across the top by the trunk and 2 on the bottom by the mufflers.

4. Carefully remove the cover from the sides pushing up from the bottom of the cover while pulling out. The cover should now be removed.
5. Dry fit the new rear cover installing in the opposite as you removed it.

6. Measure the distance from the bottom of the cover to the bracket to determine the size of the bracket adapter you will have to make. My brackets were 1.5" on the top and bottom and 2" between the top and bottom.

I made my brackets out of stock aluminium I bought at home depot. Drill one hole on the bottom to fit the factory fastner and the second hole on top to fit the bolt you are using to mount the bracket.
7. Remove the cover and have it painted.
8. Reinstall the cover the way you took it off. Use the adapter bracket you made to mount the bottom of the cover to the car.

Install the five fasteners, two screws and two bolts. Put the wheels back on and you are done.

I know very few street car owners who buy exhausts with no consideration to the sound. Unless your going for just raw max power (like 600+) it's just not something people neglect.
I think my exhaust is like 3 lbs heaver then the signal. Not that I care about that kind of weight AT ALL. My point was not that it's light, but that the duals are not really that much heavier then the singles.

That's a great point as weight's a very important aspect when modding anything on your car. However, exhaust's on s2k's usually lose power, so it doesn't matter what power level you're going for. You always want to make sure that the exhaust you choose is going to make a nice power number. I.e. the HKS DUAL hi power is known to lose power where as the t1r 70mm can make up to 11 hp. Yea the HKS might sound nicer and I'm sure that's why they sell so many, but IMO, it's worthless.

I don't care that this thread is old, I just came across it in a google search and remember that I have a honda tech account because i was trying to get in on a group buy years ago.
Aesthetics is a personal choice, and having a dual exhaust on a car for 1) looks dumb imo, and 2) was a dumb choice because it's a 4cyl. motor. In a way, having a dual exhaust is like being a riceboy.
I no longer have my s2000 but mine was turbocharged (400 to the wheels off my 11 psi wastegate spring) and had a 3" single. If I had a dual exhaust setup, I probably would have lost 20 horsepower.
So, to people SLAMMING single exhaust setups on S2K, you're the riceboys.
Hope someone from this thread re-reads it now

or it could be to meet the dB requirement for hwy or race even... a single will be louder correct? so given that limit can you really say its better etc. etc.? for example a 70mm dual vs. a 63mm single.. comes awfully close doesn't it?
no need to bump a thread to bash on strangers now is there?
