Default da9 turbo

gday hondatech im from australia, i have a couple ? regarding my da9 1990 integra with unopened b18a1 motor, i have a log style ceramic coated manifold gt2871r turbo 475hp flow rated 56 trim comp wheel, 580 cc delphi injectors, 270lph pump, gen3 ls1 gm coils, b&mfuel pressure reg, full 3'' exhaust, cushion button clutch, haltech e8 ecu, previous best 1/4 time of 15.8 n/a with 18degree timing intake and exhaust on 100 ron with octane boost, what boost would you think i could run safely on my motor and what fuel pressure setting and what pwr should i expect in your eyes? im hoping to run 12psi with 2 grades colder plugs if no knock is detected what you think? in oz theres rumours of you guys running 20psi on stock b16a's?

so what setup you running and what power output? im getting my b18a all setup and bugs ironed out b4 building a crv b20a as a mate has a crv running a muchless elaborate and less flowing turbo to mine and he was putting 137kw to all 4 wheels not bad for a 300,000km motor.

Are you getting a consistent reading from the trigger count on the trigger diagnostics page? You may end up needing an RA10 Reluctor adapter, as we ended up having to use one on my car, which has a 24 tooth distributor.

Also, are you sure it is a 16 tooth distributor? And have you attempted to adjust the trigger gain and filter settings?

On a stock block B series, keep your goals under 325whp...psi is irrelevant unless you're limited by your MAP sensor (which is an easy fix). It all comes down to the fuel grade you have available to you and the skill level of your tuner. With the turbo you have listed, you should be able to make 300whp with relative ease and still have great low end response and power.

Icon6 haltech dramas.

thanx for responding to my post, my car still not running have added reluctor module and still getting incorrect signals out of the e8, all inputs to the e8 reading correctly and it is definitely a 16 tooth distributor, 1 revolution roughly in 10 the motor fires and conks out, we have been working with haltech via phone in sydney oz and tried several maps and setting changes but still unable to get idle, one theory was the delphi injectors i have are to low resistance with 2.4ohms so next step just out of interest am going to put the standard injectors back in to see if that was causing interference issues, injectors are 580cc low impedance, otherwise other possible thought is to return to a single coil set-up but external, it has to be something simple but several long time tuners have looked over it and discussed it but are unscertain why it wont go as motor was running previous to injector and computer and 4-coil fitment. timing has been triple checked tappets all ok, 175psi compression per cylinder mechanically perfect but somehow the spark output appears to be incorrect anymore ideas?

Have you tried adjusting the settings on the dip switches on the RA10?

Icon2 tried that

yes unfortunately we tried that but no better, even our contact at haltech thought i may need to put a 24 tooth distributor instead of the 16, it has to be something simple but 3 tuners plus my mate who did the initial wire up have triple checked everything but still incorrect firing sequence and backfiring through turbo but 1 revolution in roughly 10 fires, the lock timing was set exactly on topdead and the timing and injector pulse settings have been played with quite abit even the firing order has been changed to all possible for a 4 cylinder still no good, im losing sleep just thinking of different possibilities and keeping in touch with my friend day to day to see if there is an improvement, all my sensors are factory except for the haltech 2bar map sensor, coolant temp sensor, air temp sensor, and wide band 02 sensor controller, so just basically just my distributor sensor is standard.

No problem good sir, just let me know if you need anything. I know we have guys over in aus too, but it never hurts to have another set of eyes looking for a solution.

Just an update, whoever wired in his reluctor adapter did it incorrectly. Car has since been tuned and driving about.
