what is the outcome?
so i have rims that have been rattle can painted. my question is, if i sand it, will the layer of spray paint remove leaving the original color, or will it go away with it?

depends on how hard you scuff, how good you are and how fine the sand paper is. chances are you will break through to metal. your probably have to repaint.
