Default R-1 Racing "Hype" Wheels, Greddy Ti-C Exhaust, or HFP Front lip & Comptech Rear Sway Bar!!??!!

So I feel like splurging and getting something new for my car. Only problem is I can't decide if I want these new wheels in 17X7 to mount in place of my stocks, the Greddy Exhaust, or the HFP front lip and Comptech Rear Sway Bar to compliment my coilovers. All are roughly about the same price range.....so now I'm torn.

Thoughts and or suggestions on alternative wheels/products are welcome as well........but I'm not looking for anything high-priced.....just something nice. And I know alot of you are power gurus but try to be a little open-minded. I'm looking to balance looks, power gains and handling.

I couldn't figure out anywhere else to post this since there are multiple product types involved....so I just put it in this forum. GDD forum is out of the question because they'll just waste my time with pointless sarcastic replies which they have a nag for doing.

R-1 Racing "Hype" Wheels

HFP Front Lip & Comptech Rear Sway Bar

wheres the option to spend the money on a hooker?

Anyway, get some nice sticky performance tires

If you do got good tires already, not those crappy ones that come with the car. I would go with the front lip/ Sway bar combo.

Front lips are Sex on the FG's

Here is why I voted for the lip and sway bar:

I personally like the stock wheels, even though those R-1s are pretty damn nice themselves. Wheels will probably be one of my last mods.

I justify you skipping the exhaust based on the fact that I know you already have a race header. That adds some power and a little sound, so it could keep you satisfied for a while.

The way I see it, the HFP does look awesome on the FG, and it will add a visual edge to the car. The sway bar will look good (when you can see it) and it will add a little better performance also. You get looks and performance with one choice.

I am in the same boat as you... I stalled on buying wheels because here in Ohio, the winters are brutal and I won't put wheels in before winter (obviously), but I must fill my mod itch soon...

I really like the HFP kit so I would be leaning more towards that, I am planning on doing that in the future. But as far as the sway bar... I love the idea, you should probably get it and let me know how it works

good luck

I vote HFP and sway bar. I would probably have been for wheels if I liked them better.

The comptech anti roll bar will compliment your Pro-C's well.

I remember the Konigs......there was a thread where the two were compared. The Konigs were MUCH uglier. I know these wheels aren't the best.........but I've seen uglier.

And alot of the times you would be surprised at how many times you think a certain wheel doesn't look good.......but when you actually put it on the car it tends to look a little better.

Not saying I'll definitely get them.....but it crossed my mind.

And I don't think there's a single person in here that can honestly say that the R-1s don't look better than the Konigs..............

I think they are gonna be ugly, but its your choice man.

You should get some RPM2's and paint them flat black

Those are what I'm searching for, but they are discontinued, so finding a set in minty fresh condition is hard.

Actually Rico, they might look good.

I think the Silver would look better if you had the stock H emblems on them. If you got Type R emblems its gonna look w/e.

Get them tho and show us pics.

If you using your car as dd and never gonna take it to a track the sway bar is pretty useless. I don't think you can tell the difference unless you are pushing the car everyday.

I don't like shiny wheels, but that's just me.

I would get the lip out of all these. Actually full kit over all of these if possible.

I like the sound of stock si exhaust.

True. But it's not like this is a solid chrome wheel set. Just the lip. And honestly....i'm a guy that likes things that are different and in moderation. A solid chrome wheel is too common. So is a solid flat black stock wheel.

But I had the idea of perhaps getting this wheel set and painting just the spokes gloss black and leaving just the chrome lip it's natural color. Something you don't see alot of in cars.

I think it would accent the car very well. Not too much shine.....and not a solid flat color either.

But like I said....i'm still pondering. Not a sure thing yet.

seems like half the civics out there have the hfp lip, so if i was to get a lip i'd definitely go for something different. out of the choices listed i'd go for the wheels, they look pretty good

IMO, i wouldnt do the HFP front w/o the rest of the kit. A friend of mine had the front and rear but no sides, and it looked kinda goofy/naked. it just didnt flow well from a side view. i chose the wheels because they would look sick on your car. that is all.

Hmmm.....first the wheels were completely out of the question by most of the first few posters....

Now there are 5 consecutive people saying to get the wheels. You guys aren't making **** any easier for me.

I wish I could get both. But I just can't right now.

Decisions decisions.

why dont you just save up for all three and buy all of it since you're going to do that anyways o you dont have to decide.. decide on whether or not each would benefit you and go from there.
