My h22 swap is on in the 97coupe
Me and a couple of my friends managed to get my engine in my civic coupe by lifting the front of my car up with a [freak]n fork lift! then sliding the engine with the trans under the car and the lowring my car back down.
I havent been working on this car in a real garage, but in an old small **** *** barn but anyways
The engine is in except for the fact that i am trying to get my hands on an hcp enginering drivers side h22 mount because the drivers side mount i got from yonoka doesnt seem to be everything i need so i guess i might as well get at least one real good motor mount.
Im going to give them a call today and hopefully i can get the one mount. This swap has been taking me a stupid amount of time but i plan to go to the track up in Epping Speedway this spring if not earlier.(NH)
all the **** ive bought since i started:
-H22 (its actually an h23 block with an h22 vtec head)
-Transmission (got the motor and trans together for $1000)
-h22 harness (came with motor n trans)
-obd2 to obd1 conversion harness (Not sure if i even need it)
-Socked p28 Ecu
-map sensor
-h22 swap axles
-accord half shaft
-yonoka motor mounts
-jdm distributer
-New polished h22 header
-new starter
-95 prelude shift linkage
-Thin 10 in. Mishimoto Fan
-new alternator
-and brackets
-resistor box
-new
Sloted fiberglass Fenders
Halo headlights
LED tail lights
trunk (my old one got smashed in after my d16 blew)
Si spoiler
black mesh grill
gonna get:
new paint job
new carpet
new seats
Front bumper
Dark window tint
some other **** when i think of it
I am debating wether or not to even try the wiring myself but
I think have a couple choices on my wiring....
1.Should i use the entire prelude harness and find a way to use that?
2.or should i use my old harness after switching all my sesnors over from the prelude harness?
if i use the old harness it should plug right back up, ive never done any sort of wiring.
If any one has any good ideas for me let me know THANX, PEACE

Use the civic harness, you will need to graft in parts of the prelude harness like the alternator wiring. You also generally need to add a resistor box and you will need to lengthen some wires and wire in vtec unless your coupe happens to be an EX.

Well thats essentially what you're doing, but the prelude alternator sits in front of the engine and the harness for it goes through the valve cover. Your gonna have to make some splices. The best place IMO would be in the main harness behind the engine, solder your connections and put shrink tubing over the top of each one, then put everything back in the loom and tape it up. If you do it right it should look like a factory harness.
