Default To go or not to go.... Rallycrossing in the ITR

our last rallyX race is Sat. nov 15th.
Ive always wanted to take the R, but the courses we were racing were just too rough for me to take it for "fun".

we already have this:

this course coming up looks very smooth from google maps pics and also pictures from like 1-2 years ago (not sure the last time they ran there).

It looks like all grass.

the only thing i dont have are tires, and i might as well just not take it if i cant find any. so, if i find tires, should i take it, or just stick to the CoRally that we have and not risk anything?

imagine this

in the place of this

I have said many, MANY times that I want to RallyX the R but I just can't bring myself to but it in the dirt. No matter how bad I want too.

I'm in to see your's though.

yeah, thats what sucks about some of the fields we race on.. we've broken quite a few things on the corolla.. and got lucky with my civic.

but the next field looks like its all grass. but who knows how it'll turn out with all those AWD folks going at it.

lol, just keep your windows up, and make sure you have your fender liners on. if not, you'll be pulling out dirt for months haha.

I think you would need stock suspension with some of those Lift Inserts they make for truck suspensions

Looks fun as hell, but is the car prep'd to handle it, thats the important Q.

oh its 100% stock..

our corolla has the spring insert things on all 4 struts....

i had truck tires on rims that would fit, but we used the tires for 4X100 rims for the corolla.

if i come across any i may do it. ive got about 1.5 weeks.

Oh man, that must be tempting. That's a pretty big bridge to cross. If you take the R out there you may not want to take out that Civic again. That's my $.02

I wouldnt, if you power slide that thing and it hits a rutt you have a chance of flipping it over, the last 3 pictured dirt track looks too deep and rough..

if it were a smoother not so deep dirt track like the FIRST ONE PICTURED without all the rutts I would be in.

I'm sure that kind of course and driving is a lot of fun with something like an STI, etc, or maybe a car you don't care about....but can't you really F^&* up your car doing that? Like I'd imagine if you got some air and landed the wrong way you could bend the frame, blow struts and shocks, etc etc....

After you get done with all the dirt, call Jordan up and ask who clened his car...
