GAS PEDAL HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when i gas my car it wont rev but when i push my foot and lean on it to the side it will rev a lil bit its a ek with a d16y7 engine 5 speed gas pedal is really lose

check the mounting assy where the gas pedal mounts to the firewall... i would check and make sure all the bolts are tight...........

The gas pedal in a civic is really quite simple. The pedal assembly itself is mounted inside of the car, attached to the gas pedal arm is a steel cable. This steel cable runs through the firewall into the engine bay where it curls around the head and loops back to the throttle body.
I would check the actual pedal assembly like wrenchez81 said, and then venture to the engine bay and make sure everything is setup correctly. Perhaps a second person would be helpful to push the pedal for you. Yes?
