i love my 5zigen fireball. its got good gains and on a stock hatch engine it is very quiet. its well below 95db. once i put my b16 in, it was noticably louder, but not too loud. however, vtec really screams. now that will get u a ticket.

2.5" custom magnaflow/SMSP = best performance

then mugen, spoon, type 1, etc...

FWIW, turbo did an exhaust shootout for the Celica. Best performing exhaust was the TRD, Rod Millen Motorsports, and GReddy I believe. GReddy weighs like 10lbs over stock, but was also the quietest. TRD and RMM both used mufflers like that of magnaflow, etc... weighed a bit less than stock, made the most power, and were both decently quiet. So, I prefer custom style exhausts.

I have thermal cat back and love it it is quiet, relative to the other kids I hear. At high rpms, it still sounds deep, no tin can rattling noises! I was anti big coffee can exhaust, but got mine as a gift. The first mod on my next car is a Thermal system. By the way, it is on a stock 95 cx, so if there was a power increase, I didn't notice it! It did improve throttle response though. Spend the cash, do the research, and do it right. unless you are made of money, you only get one shot. Good luck.
