Default engine swap for a 82 accord

Ok I Own a 82 Accord with the EK1 CVCC engine all stock 5 speed manual and i'd like to know how hard it would be to put a 92-95 1.6 b16 engine and what all i would need to

Any info would help and any insight would also be great

First thing you'll need to do is test fit the engine in the engine bay. Since you say 92-95, I am assuming you mean a D16 instead of a B16, unless you're looking to go mad tyte JDM for some reason. Then you'd have to make the engine mounts, cutting out the original driver's side mount, and adding a mount to the passenger frame rail. Of course, relocating the front mount on the stock front. crossmember, etc etc.

Then you have the problem of the headers. The front crossmember is too close to the engine for the exhaust to pass through. So you gotta find another way around. The easiest way to do it is to first get a half-size Civic radiator. Then you extend the headers out to run past the front crossmember, around and under it, and connect it back up along it's normal path.

Also, the fuel injection conversion. You will have to find an external, inline EFI pump, replace the stock lines with EFI compatible lines, and run a new return line back to the tank.

You'll have to have a shop build you some axles, unless the D-series transmission has the same spline count and size as the EK, which I doubt, but is possible. Probably just have to have them put the D16 inner cups on the EK shafts.

You'll also probably have to find some way to make the cable-driven speedo read off of the electronic speed sensor. Perhaps gut both the Civic and Accord speedos, and swap the internals.

Clutch is hydraulic, so that should be a snap. Might need a custom hydraulic line though, dunno if they have the same banjo fittings or not.

Shift linkage will probably need some sort of modification. I imagine it will be close, and you'll have to cut the end off of the Civic shift rod and weld it onto the Accord rod, and twist or turn it whatever way you see fit...

So yeah, shouldn't be too hard to do. Might take some time, but it's doable. It will defintely smoke any stock Civic on the road, being about 400-500lbs lighter. That's a significant power / weight ratio.
