Default head gasket leaking pressure into coolant system?

hey guys i been working on my car and just got my clutch broken in after 550 miles of "city" driving i had to stump my right foot on that gas pedal, it feels awesome but made me cause my car started to over heat, and there is bubbles on the reservoir tank,

recent things done

the rad cap is about 6 months old
head gasket-buddy club thin head gasket
arp head studs
resurfaced head
new t stat

i heard bad things about other head gasket than OEM,, should i ditch that BC head gasket and go get me an OEM or could something else be the culcript,,, thanks guys

Thermostat could be stuck shut, radiator could have a block in it, head gasket could be blown. Sounds exactly like what happened to me.

I narrowed mine down to all three. I took the thermostat out, bought a new head gasket, and a new radiator. All fixed

Take the stat out completely and see if it still overheats.

A lot of times, a brand new thermostat can be bad... If it is still over heating after the stat is out, and there's bubbles, it is most likley the head gasket compressing into the coolant.

sometimes when that happen its should be that u need to replace your Thermostat because its not letting coolant pass....you should let your car warm up then check the bottom coolant hose that goes to the block and c if it gets hot.....but if you are saying that there is pressure in your reservoir tank....should be that your water pump is going out...did you check that when you were doing your head gasket?????

i actually was thinking it may be that the water pump maybe bad, but people say that when they go bad the leak and mine isnt,
i think its the original pump, the coolant is clean and the oil is too, it only over heats when i get on the gas,
the fans come on and off and both hoses get hot,,
i remember it happenend before when the head was mated to a b16a2 block it had a cometic head gasket and was over heating all over the place, didnt get hot air inside and water/oil looked dirty, but changed it to oem and stopped,,
the only thing similar now is that water goes to the overflow tank and bubble are present too but the coolant does not leak like it did that time,,

i got cheap and lazy on the water pump when replacing the block

could that really be it?

i'm having the same exsact issue with my car ... first i had bubles in the reservoir tank, then i could smell gas in the reservoir, then i cheaked oil and saw bubles in oil, then coolant shortage due to leaking into engine, and last but not least engine dead...

That happened to me and it was my head gasket. I don't think that a bad thermostat would cause air bubbles, and if it was stuck shut, it would still bypass the water around the engine and close-circuit the radiator, so that wouldn't explain any bubbles. If there are bubbles, there is circulation so it wouldn't be the water pump (also you would notice by other means if you had a bad pump) I'm just guessing, but it does sound like your head gasket is wacky.

When you take the head off if it is the gasket, make sure to really scrub the head down with some hot soapy water and a scotch brite pad until there isn't any remaining fragment of gasket or other things on the head, then be careful not to scratch the new head gasket and torque it down EXACTLY according to the manual. I made this mistake my first time

yeah its kicking my *** I mean the Head Gasket is new and its not a knock of ****, and i dont think a Tstat would cause bubbles either it would just over heat, its just weird cause the water and oil are super clean,
if i drive slow and dont rev too much it drives nice but as soon as i get on the gas it over heats about a min later, i am just gonna wait till next week when i get paid,,,

It would suck if the block is warped i would have to take the whole **** out again I'll see if to blame the Head gasket or something else,

so pissed if i didnt like my car i would sell it and let some else do it , i just love my car too much

hey guys i got new things on this,, i took the t stat off ran it like that and now the car runs too cold, takes too long to reach operating temp, put on another t stat that looked new that i have on my garage, it reach temp sooner, noe i think that t stat is bad the bottom hose is cold did the same test hard rev and started to over heat when i got home i left it running with the engine on,, no bubbles but the t stat did not open the fans didnt come on but with the other t stat they work and the bottom hose was hot,,,,could it be that the other t stat didnt open all the way?my oil and water look clean i mean really clean

it looks like the bubbles only come out when the tstat opens

i heard that if there a leak in a hose ect it could cause the overheating?

There shouldn't be any bubbles at all... Bubbles are air in your cooling system, and for the cooling system to function correctly you can't have air in the lines.

Most likely, if you still have bubbles, and it still over heats, your head gasket is blown.

Are you sure there is no leaking around the water pump?
