Removing the ball joints....
I have a ball seperator and I am having a hard time getting the ball joints off of my car (clutch change). Would anyone have any ideas on how to get them off easier? Thanks
**** i used the pitman arm separater ... rent tool from autozone and that thing was amazing ..... its not in the shape of a fork either
Get a BFH. (big fawkin hammer) And hit the lower control arm right next to the balljoint. There's a small bump there. A couple big hits will pop that ball joint right out and save your boot from ripping using a fork or whatever.

this will work but could spell disaster. if you miss with the BFH, and hit the threads on the ball joints, prepare to replace the whole ball joint. its 10X easier to just head to autozone and rent their tool. its like $96, but you get it all back when you return the tool/kit. the boots on my ball joints were fine afterwards and i used the same pitman puller.

That's what I used also, plus lots and lots of liquid wrench the night before and during.
