What the difference between the Civic SiR (EP3) and the European Type R version?

What the difference between the Civic SiR (EP3) and the European Type R version?
Like the title says, would like to know what the difference between the Civic Hatch from 02 - 05 and the euro or jap spec type r. I understand that the one sold in Canada had 160bhp and the type R had 197bhp, is that a diff in motors or heads.

But Canada's SiR is same as USDM SI, just a different name i think

different motor and tranny from what i know, the ep3 (US si) has the K20a3 with 5-speed, where the type r has k20a i believe or k20a2, not sure which, but the r makes 197 hp versus 160, hence higher compression better cams, and i believe it comes with the 6speed with lsd, but if you really wana know just search on google...
