Polished fat 5's Factory option or dealer send out?
I was thinking about buying a set of polished fat 5 rims off my friend that just change the rims off a 1995 Integra LS (bone stock). He is now the 2nd owner. He bought the car from his brother-in-law that bought the car brand new. Are polished fat 5's a factory option or dealer sent out to be done? Rare or hard to find? I'm asking because one of the rims has some curb damage and would like to replace it.
It was not a factory option; they must have been sent out (or done DIY). You will probably have a hard time finding one that's already polished - especially if you're looking for one rather than a set of four.
Rather than buying a single wheel and having it polished yourself, I suggest you take the curbed wheel to a professional wheel repair shop, and see if they can repair it and make it look like new (polished though). In NorCal, two shops are mentioned here, and Wheels America has a shop in Hayward. Expect to pay $100-150.
