Clutch Master cylinder rebuild kit? 93 Accord
hey people, i have a 93 accord lx and the clutch master cylinder is leaking alittle under the dash. I found that autozone sells a rebuild kit for this MC for $28. Has anyone ever rebuild their clutch master cylinder in any accord??? If so do you have to removed the mc from the firewall? I really don't want to remove the mc because the lines in the engine bay have some rust on them and I know its gonna be a bitch to remove them.
You have to not only remove it from the vehicle, but you have to completely disaasemble it.
That's all well and good, but what are you going to go when you address the real problem; the interior corrosion which rusted the cylinder bore. Do you have the honing equipment to do it correctly?
Do yourself a BIG favor and plop down the $$ for a rebuilt unit.
There's a reason why hardly anyone rebuilds anymore....

Dont forget to bench bleed it before reinstalling it OR after putting it back into place BUT before connecting the fluid line. Warning, do not pump it all the way to the bottom as a recommendation.
