Sadly it's the same here. We racers (they use the Rs as they are build) are in minority. Here you see many ugly BlingBling-ITRs on street too.

yes, this is a little cam in the front bumper.
i experimented with different outboard-filming-positions too:

the pics don't are from me, they are made by a professional photographer. he use a "Canon EOS-1D" and a "EF-400 f/2.8L"-lens.
