Default Is skunk2 intake manifold legal for CA bar test ?

I need to know what to do to pass the BAR test so everything is legal. Its a 92 integra which is OBD1 stock and a JDM GSR 95 which is also OBD1 everything on the motor is stock except for the intake manifold which is a CARB legal skunk2 manifold and a modified throttle body to fit the skunk2 manifold.

What else should I look for and what else should I look at so I know I can pass the first time. Please let me know everything! thanks.

Should be legal as long as you have the carb paper to show them. Should come with the manifold or you can call them i heard and get it.

as long as its the stock size-stock looking you should be fine. If its a crazy aftermarket looking one like erick's racing or some non stock looking one you might get harassed. And you need paper work saying that it has a carb pending or street legal. Best to throw a stock one on and be done with it.

also make sure that you have the swap number written down and have them put it oin your paper work. IT will put your number in the system in case of theft.

I passed BAR with a Skunk2 IM in my 88 CRX with B16. I modified a GSR TB to work with it, and he didn't say anything. When I got there, I just told him I had a Header and S2 IM, gave him the CARB sticker for it, he looked it up along with the DC carb #, and went on with the test.

Idiot, Don't post useless information because others pass it along. You are 100% incorrect dumbas$. As long as there was a USDM Variant that came over you can legally swap it as long as it has all the required smog equipment that it came with stock.

I would stay with the stock IM until you do that. Or since it's already on there, just get your CARB info together and hope the guy is not aa a$$hole.

ha!! i love mississippi, i go to get a sticker, they say, turn on headlights, right blinker, left blinker, check tail lights, see your license, done. if you have a light out they usually give it to you anyways and say, get that light fixed, thats it, no carb harrassment bullcrap.

the only thing i am concerned about is the fact that my manifold is carb legal should be okay, but now my vacuum lines are all rerouted differently because of the different manifold.

when i put a skunk2 IM on my teggy the only vaccuum lines that i had different was that the vacuum line that went to the butterfly actuator/solenoid/whatever now went to the extra nipple on the top of the tank, other than that everything else remained the same for me as far as hoses, i had to run a longer hose for the crank case breather up to the top of the manifold. What changed on your vacuum lines? see if you still have the original vacuum line diagram under the underside of the hood.

Hahaha funny how people like to flame on me. Lmao. First of all, u just said u have a jdm gsr with a carb s2 manifold. U didn't say anything about no usdm variant crap. Be more specific. Second, go and try to state ref your "stock jdm gsr" and see what happens.

Since u think u can get your jdm gsr to pass state ref, why u even putting this post up.?

You must have had the wrong type of hose on there...

Auto part stores sell a hose that has "Fuel/Emmissions" printed right on them. Mine was also modified with this hose, and I passed, no questions asked.

As stated before, a JDM engine needs to be converted to the USDM equivilent, and the "smog equipment" needs to be the same year or newer than the car the engine is going in...

Example:
You can put a older engine 88-91 B16 swap in your 92-95 car. It just needs to be converted over to 94-95 DelSol VTEC specs.

Obviously you dont know what what he means by usdm variant. and hes asking about the skunk2 intake manifold, not about the jdm gsr motor.

the reason ppl flame you is cuz youre a fuking idiot. you couldve just been ignored but dumbasses like you need to know when theyre being a fuking retard. stop spouting your mouth about $hit you dont have a clue on. i guarantee youre gonna reply with some stupidass $hit that doesnt make sense, so in response to your next pos post, *** off f@ggot!

Nope, pcv valve hose was T'ed with another hose, forgot which one, OEM GSR IM didn't have that extra hose. Failed vacuum hose visual inspection 97 GSR.

Flaming

The moderators in the Integra forum have recently noticed that the amount if flaming has been increasing. Much of this is unwarranted. It is possible to assist others without having a downright rude disposition. Written barbs add nothing to the conversation. If you have nothing constructive to say, do not post.

Let this serve as a warning that we will be cracking down on this flaming. (Trust me, we want to do this as little as possible.) We are not doing this because we enjoy doling discipline. The bottom line is that we want the forum to be more productive and welcoming to those who may not know as much. People should not be afraid to ask questions.
