Best option for H22 swap into OBDII 96 prelude ?
i put an obd1 h22 in my 96...it wasnt that hard at all..just lil wiring because the obd1 motors do not have the trigger sensors next to the crank...i think thats what it is called

ur 100% RIGHT. i did the same thing to my 97 lude, swaped in a built all motor h22a obd1 but the only thing i had to do was the obd2 to obd1 conversion harness, ecu, and the crank sensor

your friend is wrong. look at the ratios. i just got done swapping from an F22 trans to an H trans. why? because it makes your car slow as ****. and if he tops out at 135, he is not driving an h22. i could have easily hit 140 in 4th gear when i had my F.

seems like it would be .....but Im not to sure its just plug and play? I would like some people with expierience doing this to chime in....i just dont want to guess and order the wrong $3000 motor.....I know I can put the obd1 h22 in there and wire the crank sensor etc up to the dizzy harness and convert over to obd1 ....

i will try to find a diagram but i know that i had to put an obd1 dizzy with an external coil on the motor and than i had to wire the dizzy to the wires were the trigger sensor would connect, i will try to find a diagram for that sorry bout the delay.
you can use an obd1 h22 you just need to use an obd1 distributer.
SO you would use your stock ecu, and harness.
and obd1 motor and dizzy.
take the stock harness, take the wires that go down to the lower crank sensor by the crank pully. and extend them to reach the distributer.
Then you need to wire the new obd1 dizzy. Which if you search there is info. it might even be in the FAQs thread.
