Default Fuel pump ????

Ok i have a 99 civic ex and swapped a jdm b18c gsr/sirg engine into it. My question is- I am still using the ex fuel pump, is there a differance between the ex a gsr pumps? As in since im using the ex am i losing power. if that sounds right

Integra fuel pump 17040-ST7-A33
Civic fuel pump 17040-S02-L01

Not same part. Couldn't tell you if the Integra pump moves anymore gas than the Civic, but I would imagine it would sustain proper fuel pressure at the rail, worst case, get an FPR?

Why would a higher capacity pump waste more fuel if the pressure and injector duty cycle are held constant?

If you keep voltage the same then the pressure increase would come from the added volume by the new pump...which is why you should run a FPR to DECREASE fuel pressure when using a higher flow fuel pump.
