98 jdm h22a won't crank over?? why?, how?? can it be fixed?,
The situation is my 98 5th with a jdm h22a will sometimesnot want to crank over. I have full power to the battery just changed starter. It happened yesterday it didn't want to start after I turned it off so lucky I was on a hill so I poped the clutch n it fired up. Some sources say that u should hit the starter to free a sticky something. But its brand new.... I don't know wat else to try. Should I take my car to get my chargin system check for free? And also could it be the ignition switch cas I head about it around that it could be the cas. I read this one site listing the recalls for honda and my 98 lude was in that list but the recal began in 2002 so I duno if I can still get it changed out 4 free.
When it doesn't crank over do you hear the starter click at all or is it
absolutely nothing?
Check your connections at at the starter, also check your battery connections.
If you can still hear it clicking, you might just have a defective starter.
Call the dealer on your Ignition switch issue, there might be a recall on it.
BTW: They quit making lude's in 01, there is definately a recall on this issue,
just give them your vin number, if they say no, check another dealer to verify it.

Ok cool but I have the jdm h22a will that make a diffrence at the dealer and I think I hear the fuel pump power up but that's about it. I had to mess with the key buy turnin it on n off fir a while then the car started up n it hasn't died yet. But there is a recell on the ignition switch. Will that cause the starter not to crank or make n e noises. What's werid is when it happened I wasn't able to start it with the key but I was able to pop the clutch n start the car I duno this has me puzzled thanks for the feed back
I think it was the starter cas I took it to honda and the recall for the ignition switch they replaced it already. But now im getting p0450 and p0453 codes and when the cel light comes on the car starts to bog out until I restart it the my idle jumps up n down for a bit. But when I drive its fine I duno.....
P0450 is "Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Malfunction".P0453 is "Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor High Input". but i sloved by plugging up a loose plug but now im getting P0505 which is "Idle Control System Malfunction" i think its the IACV tho.. what do you guys think
