Default B20B non vtec integra issues

hello, since yesterday i've been having weird problems with my integra.

recap. tired searching

while driving started to feel hesitation. so when i step on throttle past 1/3 down, it bogs. if i stepped on throttle 1/8 it would go. got home, cleaned out iac, changed spark plugs, dist cap and rotor, checked fuel pump to hear humming, cleaned out intake manifold and throttle body, thought fuel system was clogged so put in fuel system cleaner.

reset ECU and started. let idle for 5 mins to get the cleaner through. tired throttle same problem. took it for a spin, and if you step on it past 1/3 way down, bogs. i got pissed so i mashed the throttle and it just bogged out and never started since. pushed home.

any ideas on what the problem could be? any input is greatly appreciated.

thanks. also mods, if in wrong section. please move.

fuel filter maybe?
Had it happen to my car couldnt use much throttle with out it bogging, then it got worse and worse till it wont run at all. New fuel filter and away it went perfectly.

If you run ethernol, really high octane fuel or injector cleaner you should change your fuel filter regulary. All the gunk from the tank and fuel lines would of ended up in it.

update.

changed the fuel filter, still had the same issues.

removed the plastic cover to checck timing belt b/c of no light.

felt pretty loose. was able to push it inwards bout 1.5 inches.

im assuming that thats the issue?

should it be tight?

thanks.

also, are there any DIY's on changing it?

found this, but its a gsr. any b20's or b18b/as?

thanks again for all input

I would say that you may need to get a new tensioner, and while you are at it you should get a new timing belt and probably a water pump as well. Good luck with your project!

If you plan to keep you integra, and do work on it in the future, you might as well make a trip down to Advance, Auto Zone, or your local parts store and purchase a Haynes, Helms (spelling?) manual which will help you in many DIY situations. I am sure if you search there is a timing belt thread on here as well. Good luck!
