Car: 1996 Honda Civic DX Four Door
Engine: First Gen B16A OBD1
Wiring: I HAVE NO EYE DEER
ECU: OBD1 EG6/EF8 B16A JDM ECU

What I want to do: I want to do a B20 VTEC. I want to use the Head of my B16 on this B20. Maybe use my Wiring harness. But idk how my wires are being used in this conversion.


Ok, What wiring harness are recommend/needed?
What ECU?

I have a B16A OBD0, and I am so confused as to how my jumper cables to OBD2 are wired. I will take pictures if needed. Let me know Please. Do I need new mounts or the B16 mounts will work.

My good friend had a B20B he picked up in a junkyard, threw a B16A head on it, ran it off the B16 ECU and I'm pretty positive he used the B16 wiring harness.

I just need to know everything I need before I go through with buying this B20.

 

b16 mounts will work...and you can use an obd1 vtec harness for the wiring. you might have to convert it back to obd1...and you can use your b16 head and as far as the ecu...i would chip a p28 just cuz you can get the optimal performance out of it that way...if not you have to settle with the b16 fuel and vtec points. here is a couple of write up that will help you...
