IM a shorty and own a 05 CBR 600RR HELPPPP
Here is the deal I bought my 05 CBR and I have gotten it lowered and I still can't touch the ground
Now I did only lower it 1 inch b/c of the kickstand. If I lower it 3 inches my bike stands strait up. You guys have any ideas
FYI I am legit I do have my license and gear and INSURANCE. I am a new rider. I took the safety course. I have been riding for a few months now. But Im always coming up on crown roads and stuff. I feel like Im going to drop my bike cause I cant touch the ground. AND for all the leghumpers no I will not post pics of myself dont bother asking.

how tall are you, what is your inseam? Have you tried the one cheek sneak approach. I'm 5'7 with a 30 inch inseam and I can't touch both legs down at once so I only put my left one down.
I'd say buy a kickstand off ebay or from a race forum (forums.13x) and get that cut down so you still have your stock kickstand if you ever want to resell the bike
Then, buy a lowering link for the rear and drop the forks a little in the triple trees. That will lower the bike enough, as a link will usually give 1" and 3" drops. Lowering it a little won't mess it up too bad, but if you drop it 3" the handling will be thrown off a bunch. Also a 3" drop in the rear will cause some clearance issues.
You could also shave the seat, but the 600rr has a relatively thin seat so you won't get much by doing that.
Have someone that knows suspension adjust your sag and preload. You can lower the bike just by adjusting the preload on the shock and the forks.

IM 5ft 2 the nike boots add another inch. Keep in mind that this is with it being lowered an inch already. Im fine on level roads, but if there is construction or crown roads forget it. I had 1 close call.
Yea no ninja for me. I got a really good deal on my bike not only that the 250 would last a week before im sick of it. I have been looking for kickstands. I found a couple that dont really have a flat lip. I just dont want to come out of my house and find my bike on the ground.

1 leg. if you're going to get "bored with a 250," may as well learn how to 1-leg your bike and maintain its performance capabilities.

well if they do make something to additionally lower the bike go ahead and do it. All you have to do is chop a little bit off of the kick stand. If your scared about it not having the flat square on the bottom of the stand take it to someone who can weld a piece of flat metal on the bottom. Im in your area and could probably cut it for you.
the sell and adjustable kick stand on ebay, or you can just cut and weld the one you have now, some times you can find the already cut.
3" is the lowest you can go in the back with out rubbing and you can always lower the front an 1" adjusting the forks, just try to balance the bike with the one sneak cheek technique, until you get use to the weight.

I know riders who are 5'2" and SHORTER and they manage. Practice practice practice.

I only have this problem with my bike. It sits higher that my bf gixxer 750. His bike is not lowered and has alot more padding in his seats and I do better on his bike. I would just like to move my bike and park it w/o any help thats all. When Im on the road its easy to 1-leg it. Just parking it is a pain.
I ordered a new kickstand already hopefully this solves it.

Do the one leg and one *** cheek on the side with the leg you are most comfortable flat footing.
Don't forget to lower the front as well, if you lower the rear using the links

get off the bike and push it? I never understood the need to park while on the bike, I just get off and push, even if my feet can touch the ground.
there's no way i'd sacrifice my suspension geometry just so i can park the bike better. that's not a fair trade, at all.

unless she doesnt care about turning which seems to be the case
not every ride appreciates what these machines were truely made for
look at dani pedrosa, hes 5'3'' and does fine on the repsol honda which i believe has a higher seat height than a customer bike

i'm 5'2 30 inch inseam. i ride an 05 r6. i dropped it 4 times the first year owning it because i couldn't balance it right. i was smart and got those extended sliders so nothing got damaged. after the first couple months i got the one leg thing down no problem. you also just have to learn ,when you are on a crown pick the side that the crown is on and put your foot down on that side. you basically gotta learn to one foot both legs.
practice makes perfect. i now love my bike and would trade it for anything. (except maybe a new 09 rr )

Just because you can get a "really good deal" doesn't mean you have to buy something. I can get good deals on XXXXL clothing, but it doesn't fit me, so what's the point? 4X shirts are not for me, and the 600RR is not for you.

I'm 5'3", and I can tell you now that its almost instinct that I use only my left foot to make the bike stand at a stop, even on a hill. Its 'cause I've been riding for years.
If you can stop on a flat ground, with practice you can stop on any hill. Just use your right foot to press on the rear brake.
And yea, get a shorter kick stand. I shaved the seat from my R6 tho, but I have no problem riding GSXRs and R1/6 on stock height.
