? about a clutch setup
Thinking of replacing my stock clutch for an exedy stage 2 and a new flywheel but dont kno how many lbs i should get. Would a 11 lb clutch be good? Does a flywheel that weighs less tend to be stiff?
I dont know about your application, but I ran the Exedy Stage 2 and ACT 11lb flywheel on my last 3 turbo setups. It was a great little clutch. The pedal pressure wasn't too bad and it only chattered on break-in. Other than that, it was great. And it held 315whp/ 216wtq
I daily drove the setup i listed above for almost 2 years. The clutch feels a bit stiff, but after a while, you wont notice it at all. It isn't one of those clutches with a terrible engagement and 2 tonne pedal pressure. Its like driving a nice, stock-ish feeling clutch. Also, even though it is a 3pk, it engages much like a full face. There isn't the typical chatter people associate with pucked clutches.
