Im in the market for a Turbo but I dont want to spend all the cash for a new one when there are several used ones out there. Theres a member here (SW4G2) that is selling me:

T3/T4 turbo
Drag Manifold
Greddy Type S BOV
HKS intercooler
chrome drag piping
wastegate and test pipe.

How do I know if everything is in good condition. I will be checking out the parts in person.

check the turbine wheel on the turbo, make sure it doesnt wobble or have any play. other then that, just eye everything over and make sure the mani and dp isnt cracked.

 

sounds good. just make sure the member is reputable, and not a trial or new user.

 

He's checking it out in person so he could always go back to the guy and kick his *** hehe.

yeah id say shaft play (as the above ) and visual inspection, how many miles is on the turbo? I mean you don't want to rebuild it cause it can cost as much as a brand new one. How are the turbo seals ??
