How low is your car?
Is the axle for your car because you can use any b-series axle and a few are different lengths. You can tell what one you have by the colored bands on it.

Same thing happened to me. Only after I pass 50mph. Its the axle ring. Take your axle out and check to see if u the ring around the teeth of the axle.

your diff is probbly cracked , and your axle was probbly shot after the first time it did it because it chewed the splines off the end of the axle , after you put it back in see if you can wiggle it around alot

Just get a new axle. I had a new axle that kept popping out also after a week. I got another 1 and it worked fine after that.

i just put another new axel in about a week or so ago. and the new one doesnt wiggle at all. i think is the shitty autozone axels. but i have warranty so ima swap in a new one prolly tomorrow and i will let u guys know what happens. Is there any way to make the clip bigger(bend it) so its in the trans more secure?

Do you have Napa Auto parts there? If so, get there NEW axles. They're the best NEW axles you can buy from a store. And the price is great too.

Make sure when you pop the axle in, make sure you can't pull it out. Try a few times really hard and get underneath to see if there is no gap in between the axle and the trans.

If it still pop's out after you put a new one in again, then its your differential. It's probably messed up and cracked like already stated. But you could just not be locking the axle in place. It may seem like its in, but maybe not.

An easy way to tell is compare how many threads are screwed on the 32mm nut on both sides. It should be about even.

The length of the axle is determined by where the small CV boot clamps are tightened around the axle shaft. If you were to cut one of those bands off, you could adjust the length and then install a new band.

My brother's del Sol had one inner CV boot stretched out pretty far when it was installed, but he never had any problems with it. An over-stretched CV boot will not cause the axle to pull out, but it could tear easier.

sounds like it's the wrong axle for the differential.

now i'm curious. the other day i had my drive axle pop out from not being seated all the way. luckily i was only a quarter mile from home and had an easy walk. now there is a minor oil leak and the axles wiggles more than it use to. the end splines on the other side of the c clip are mangled but not the main spines. does that last 1/8th of an inch of spline help stabilize the axle?

Vtec and non-Vtec axles should fit the exact same.

it's your diff. if you keep wanting to think it's the axle, then get OEM from honda, but your diff is most likely the problem

I agree. If the splines on your differential are chewed up from your axel popping out a few too many times while driving then your probably looking at a differential replacement or tranny replacement which ever comes cheaper.

sounds like when it popped off it damaged the axle inlet oil seal. on my old civic this same seal went out. i thought my motor was leaking oil but it was the tranny. i must have ran it dry too long and screwed the tranny. get that leak fixed asap.
