Eibach Pro Kit or Ground Control Coilovers?
I am ready for suspension in my car, i have a 95 ex coupe, and I found the eibach pro kit for 190 online and cheapest i have found the GC coilovers is 299. I am going with KYB AGX's for either of these but would it be worth the extra 110 for the coilovers? i might auto x a little bit sooner or later but nothing more, i just want to get rid of wheel gap. Remember i am on a budget and another thing is i am in minnesota and i have heard coilovers rust and corrode from snow and road salt.
get prokits...i got'em, and i love'em. not too low, but not too high...great ride for daily driving..super handling...plus GC's are a lot more, and when you think about it, how often do you think you'll raise/lower it? eh..thats my opinion.
id get the ground controls, they use eibach springs anyway. plus you can get custom spring rates. also if you do a swap in your car you have to account for the sag in the front. you wont be able to adjust the pro kit, and you may not be happy with the hieght of the car. if you have the extra cash do it.
i spotted on ebay the springs for 160...here's the link

Durring the winter there is usually a lot of sand/salt on the roads here and it hasn't corroded or done anything to my Skunk2 coilovers, at least not any visable damage to them. Although I don't think that I have ever adjusted them.

I am running GCs with AGXs and it rides great. Not overly bouncy like with some setups but gives you a nice stiff ride. I have adjusted the height several times and it doesn't get much easier. Go with adjustablity it will make you smile.
Basically if you want to be able to adjust to height of your car, then get the GroundControls. If you just want to get the car to sit lower and corner better, then get the Prokit. I've got the Prokit on my car and I use it for autocrosses and I think the car sits at the perfect height. I couldn't justify spending the extra money just to be able to adjust the height.
BTW, you can call Eibach and get custom spring rates if you feel the Prokit isn't tight enough.
A friend of mine has GroundControls with Tokico blues. He has had problems with them squeaking. Anyone else had this problem?

as far as springs go are eibach prokits a good choice for street use and some autocross, what about sportlines or even h&r or neuspeed?
get the gc's... the prokit lowers the car, but not much... with the gc's you can adjust the height to whatever you want, whenever you want... JMO
GC's, because once you start autocrossing your car (and become an addict, because you will) you're going to wish you didn't get those mushy *** Eibach ProKits.
i definately recommend the Ground Controls. I have had mine for like 5 months. I have not had any problems with adjustability. My friend has GC too and he left his lowered all winter long and come spring time when we put new rims on his car it was very easy to adjust the height. we just washed the dirt and salt and grime off.
BTW i am in upstate NY so winter is kinda bad here.
you will definately want adjustability esp if you have winters.

i dont really have the money to pay the difference between springs and the coilovers so i figure i can always upgrade later. also what ive been finding is that you dont need a camber kit for eibach pro kits, i would also like to avoid buying a camber kit if it can be adjusted with the stock adjusters during an alignment. How low can i go without having to buy an aftermarket camber kit, would sportlines or h&r sports be too low for that?

sportlines are a bigger drop than prokits..i think the camber would be too off...remember, some camber is good...too much of the good thing is bad, aight? get prokits..IMO.
although i'm sure you'll be happy with anything that'll get rid of the nasty stock wheel gap, yuk!
brand new eibach prokits:
