Stock fuel pump?
Anyone know if a stock gsr fuel pump can sustain 450cc dsm and 6-8lbs of boost? I found a 255lph on ebay for like $80 with a 1 year replacement warranty.
PSI is not a reliable way to judge your goals. The stock pump will provide up to about 250whp worth of fuel. Personally, i would rather spend the $90 on a Walbro and know that its going to work. The last thing you want is for the pump to fail, lean out the AFRs and pop...$80 vs new engine
To be honest I just ordered the walbro255 and I know psi isnt a way to base your goals but I have never boosted so I really don't have a power goal. The way the car is is already quick enough for a DD, I just want it to be boosted, so whatever the car makes at 6-8psi in fine with that (est. 240-280HP is fine by me) Ill make plans in the future to make more power :D
Setup:
T04e 50a/r
450cc dsm injectors
po6 chipped and add vtec w/ conversion harness
cast mani
38mm wastegate (6psi spring)
SQV BOV
Intercooler w/ piping and bov flange
3" 5-bolt downpipe
stock exhaust (for now)
255lph fuel pump
Then i will be installing my pieced together kit in a week or two:D soon as my last parts come in the mail....In my GSR (B18C1)
Plus Ill be street tuning with crome/uber and I have the Moates burn2 which is awesome btw. Then heading to the dyno for the #'s
