heres a few pic of the valve cover i had made. once i got it back i noticed the spark holes werent fully alinged in the center. contacted the guy & said he would try his best to fix it he had alot of movement with it but if not he would buy me a new cover.so im keeping my fingers crossed for now id sure love to have the space.we took off 2.5 inches wit the oil cap off & will be filling threw the oil vent holes.

here is the lower control arm mod.moved the radius arm to the lower side of the control arm for the crank pulley to clear the arm.

 

i guess i should post a few of the motor when i first got her.had a upper header on it with a jasma stamp.got my ebay header in & there is deff. a diffrence
ebay outside was roughly 1.670 & the jdm header was roughly 1.770 inches.

got most of the timing cover modded for the crank pulley & alt belt. also put the esp bracket on with 88-91 civic alt.





sry for the poor pic. but all i have is a cell camra phone.

 

when you go to put the engine in the car. Could you take good pictures of how much you have to mod the frame rail for the crank pulley to clear and clearance for the alternator belt? Ive seen a couple pictures on here. But nothing in detail. A friend of mine had to take a chunk out of the framerail.

 

I moved the pulley half inch over soo there shouldnt be much banging from what ive read but time will tell & yes ill do my best to take pics with what i got.

central fl. bout 1.5 hr north of orlando.

for now i do wanna get it runing dyno it have fun, then upgrade with some pro1s re dyno have a lil more fun then 100 shot direct port.

 

Just comin back to reply about the question you had, but with that spacer so the timing belt doesnt walk, it was fine for me, everything lined up perfect! i also read on the h2n thread of someone sayin that theres belt kept braking cause it wasnt perfectly aligned, maybe mine was the same way and i evened it with the lil spacer or maybe just got lucky!

 

hmm ok mine seems ok without the spacer but yet it hasnt ran yet just worried of the belt walking.maybe ill order a B16 one tomarrow.

 

well i havent really heard of anyone having problems with there belts walkin, but the guy who did my exhaust also helped me put the motor together and when he saw it he said he really didnt like that much and just for safe measure he was gonna put the b16 one, he did however have to cut a lil out the center and for the key, but nothing a dremel cant do!

 

yeah the tech thats helping me said the same thing & your right took a dremel to it ,but maybe the b16 one is diffrent.I never thought of it cuz it is made to go out there where the h22 i tried is only on the back side ya know.

 

yea, the h22 goes in the back, then the timing belt, then the b16 one, we only used a b16 cuz thats what he had layin around, im sure another h22 one would do the job ... goos luck
