'97 LX, looking for some upgrade ideas.
Hey guys. First post. I searched around for the B16 engine, and didn't find much, so I hope it's cool that I make my own post
Got a stock '97 Accord LX with the F22 (?) 2.2L non-vtech engine, and a short ram air filter. A buddy of mine was saying a good start would be to do a motor swap with a B16 engine, which'll give me 160-180hp stock? Also heard you can do the twin turbos on that engine or something? I'll be the first to admit that I'm not real engine savvy, so here I am, asking you guys and this P_Adams guy I see everywhere, haha. Visually, I'd like to do mostly a JDM look with the carbon fiber hood, Mugen grill and lip kit, possibly HIDs, and some other goodies. For the moment, though, I'm looking for some performance ideas. I don't really know what these little cars are capable of. I've had this car for years now, and it's been a true blessing. I want to keep this car forever and never get rid of it, so I've got nothing but time on my hands- only 147k miles
Thanks in advance, guys. Hope this wasn't too n00b of a post

If you want to keep your car's reliability as a daily driver but add some HP to it, just do bolts-on upgrades. Headers, exhaust kit, and u have a intake to start off.
I would recommend engine swap, turbo and other big upgrades if your planning to race on the strip.
no need for a 300hp car and use it as a daily driver going 65 on the highway...but this is my opinion.
At the end...just first set ur goals, racing? better performance? or a reliable car?
