i have a 93 eg but i have a b18b1 ls so i thought ide be better suited for this area,
every time i down shift and "get on it" smoke comes form my exaust
and was wondering if this is normal or if there is a problem.

this is my 2nd b18b1 ive had in it, so i dotn think its the installation thats wrong,
but i was just wondering if anybody knew whats goin on here?

 

smoke at high rpms and wot means ur rings are shot and or oil is coming thru the valve seals.

can this problem result in a smell of gas when driving, when i get high in the rpms it smokes alittle, n when im just driving i can smell gas.

is this a result of this problem or somthing else?

 

smoke with down shifting from normal driving = valve steams or o2 sensors.
smoke at wide open throttle = rings
smoke when engine brakes = valve steams.
smell of gass = o2 senors.

So prob try replacing o2 sensors then if its still excessive smoke then valve steam seals.

 

i didnt think i had a o2 sensor, but i recently had a motor swap so thats possible i suppose. does anybody know where i can get some cheap rings?
