hey guys! i just bought my first car by myself! whoo! 1994 accord <3 hehehe.. but anyways...
i have a 80amp alternator, a 15" adire brahma sub, a Power acoustik BAMF 2000/1 amp, a yellow top optima batt, upgraded big three wires, and a Power Acoustik 1.5 farad capacitor.
do these all mesh well? any suggestions? my main concern is my alternator (stock) should i upgrade that also? i want my car bumpin! is the capacitor good enough?
help, insights, and suggestions are very much appreciated! thanks!

from my experience with my civic that i had, which i had a jl audio 15, jl 500/1 amp, 1 farad cap and a yellowtop battery the lights would still dim. my alternator was stock because the only aftermarket one that i could find was crazy expensive... if you can upgrade the alternator i would recommend it
it will make for a waaaay better car audio experience IMO. congrats on your purchase!!!

Your P/A amp is 1x600W RMS into 4 ohms, [1x900W RMS into 2 ohms, 1x1200W RMS into 1 ohm] and even if taken with a grain of salt 600W RMS will require around 95A, [depending on efficiency of amp] to produce that kind of wattage.
Upgrading your alt. is the single best improvement you can make for your audio systems power requirements.

Upgrade the alt, i got mine for my 94 hatch from loadboss, its was like 275 bux, and was 150a rated alt. although i did run my stock batt plus a batcap 800 on my stock alt just fine, but it is a small batt, but when i added a second batcap 800 i did up the alt. Personally man, with that small of an amp and having a yellow top, i would just ditch the cap. i have never used a cap in any of my installs and i have never recommended them to anyone, i just don't like cap's. But thats my opinion. oh and bump for the adire brahma!!!

Although the price of a "brand name pimp my audio system" cap may be " nothing but a way to get more money" a cap has a place in an audio system.

ha, i've met some cb people and heard some stories that was kinda hard to believe, but i imagine its possible. i know a guy that said his cb radio system was so powerful he could pull up beside someone and do something and fry there ecu in there car. then i know another that said he would like hook up a jumpercable from his antenna to a train track and use it as an antenna or throw the cable into salt water (ocean) and use that as an antenna. crazy stuff.
