i got a 1990 accord that is haveing battery problems new battery but like 4 days later the battery light comes on and the car wont start what else could it be i i am thinking the alternater but it looks newer but i dont know any help

 

Check the battery cable. I had similar problems on my 92 and it turns out the cable was just corroded and worn down the line... quick and cheap fix and the problem was solved!

 

otherwise take it to a auto zone and they will check it for free

 

Either your Alternator isn't working or
Something is staying on when you turn off the key or
Loose alternator Drive belt.

If you've access to a volt/ohm meter, chk the operating voltage with the car running. It should be between 13.8 and 14.2 volts. If it's 12.5 or lower you've an issue with the "looks new" Alternator.

If the Alternator and it's drive belt check out, I would suggest removing the negative battery cable and inserting an amp meter between the cable and the negative terminal. With the key off, you shoud see justthe slightest amp value (from the always on ECM and clock) Anything more than .5 amps and you've got something staying on... a bulb etc.
