Default 95 accord exhaust question?

I just got a brand new full exhaust on ym 95 honda accord ex. Someone just gave an old fart can muffler from a nissan that i was thinking of putting on the accord. I'm pretty sure its got a 5 inch tip. Also, the car's got the vtec engine so will it change the sound at all? Also, i'm on a really tight budget so is there a way to just swap out the stock muffler for this one? or would it sound bad without doing the whole system? From what it looks like i would need to run maybe 8 inches of pipe from where the stock muffler attaches to get the tip of the fart can to be even with the back of the car and maybe stick out a bit. I have no idea what size any of the piping is so i know i might have to adjust for that. Any good advice on a tight budget?

My advice: can the whole project, wait till your funds accumulate and do the project right. Just MHO.

If it's your intension to go to an aftrmarket Stainless System someday, I would recommend this.
Drive with your recently installed OEM exhaust until it's time to replace it. You've paid good money for it already. And forget the "Fart Can" Nissan muffler. It will most likely sound like .... a Nissan.

During this time, do your research into what you really want and start saving your money.
If you're looking for some GlassPack ***** of an exhaust system that won't let you hear your CD Player, there's plenty of examples to choose from.
If you're looking for something that will actuall let you think straight and not act as a police magnet; consider the Apexi World Sport ll (WSll) - nice system

I definately don't want the cop magnet sounding exhaust. those get a little too rediculous. I just want something that'll make some noise when i get into the higher rpms and sound good in the process. Thanks for the suggestions.

yeh, believe me - I know.
I've got some moonbat driving a civic around my neighborhood with an exhaust that sounds like a Cessna 182 at takeoff power.
Within the last four months, the local constabulary has knocked off this wingnut seven (7) times. The police just laugh cuz they can tell he's in the area (buy the sound) and they just set up and wait for him.
Personally, I'm into stealth (at least as far as my exhaust goes)
