Default b18b1 crx will not start at all, im puzzeled completly. please help!!!

ok so heres the deal. 91 crx si, 2000 b18b1 swap motor ran strong and completly fine when removed from the integra. crx remains obd0 with a pr4 ls ecu and uncut engine harness. i swapped out the injectors to obd0 injectors with the resistor box all wired up.there is no cut wires and ive checked all connectors 10 times and every last thing is plugged in exactly where it goes. now heres where im stumped. the car turns over fine sounding like it wants to fire and run but it will not. i checked for spark and when crank it for the first time it sparks fine but once i cycle the key and try cranking again everything is exactly the same but w/o spark. the other thing i cant seem to figure out is that when i crank it over cylinders 2 and 3 puke gasoline out of the exhaust ports. it actually shoots a good amount about 2 feet. wtf is going on?????

heres what ive tried so far... replaced coil and ignitor in my dizzy with no luck
tried a complete different dizzy that is know to work and no luck
tried msd blaster coil (hell of a lot better and more blue spark, but still didnt fix my prob)
tried 3 different sets of obd0 injectors with no luck
tried 2 different resistor boxes with no luck
tried 2 different ecu's with no luck
tried 2 different main relays under the dash or drivers side with no luck
tried 3 different sets of plugs and wires with no luck

all fuses are fine and all grounds are hooked up in their proper place. this piece of hell will not fire over wtf....??

all i can think of next is to try a different ignition and key, or an older style map sensor that mounts on the firewall instead of the newer style thats right on my throttle body. dont see why it would matter but i cant think of anything else.

someone help before i push it off a cliff i really want this thing running for my daily driver so i can park my ls-vtec-turbo hatch back in the garage where it belongs!!!!

someone figures this out for me ill buy you a case!

What distributor are you using? Are you sure you didn't mix up the two white wire at the distributor? I know you said you checked the wiring, but I've seen too many times where those two white wires were mixed up. Plug wires in the right order?

im currently using an obd0 ls dizzy and have tried another one in know working order and still havent fixed the problem.... as for the 2 white wires being crossed, i gave this thought but the engine harness is untouched so they should be in the correct order. i can give it a try but i dont think its the problem. and yea 1342 ive checked the firing order a few times and even tried different orders with nothing. i cant seem to track this one down. ill give the 2 white wires a shot but thanks for the advice!

have you checked your timing? it could be off on the exhaust cam and that could cause it to shoot out gas if its off. thus being the valve is not closed all the way.

yea timing is dead on. the motor was running in the integra days before it was put into the rex. and i also tried switching the 2 white wires today in the distributoe and it resulted in nothing... im soon starting to think it would be easier to put a 4g63 into it. hahaha

do u have a ground on the thermostat housing? check for a loose o frayed battery cable?with however many times uve been cranking it, maybe u flooded the cylinders too... pull the wires and plugs and see if theres a lof of gass in ur cylinders... if so crank, it in a well ventilated area (gas could shoot out).....reinstall plugs wires etc then crank again.

???

yea i have the thermostat ground, and currently the car is gutted with my battery in the rear. i have 4 gauge wire ran right to the starter and then up to the fuse box on top of the strut tower. and i also have 4 gauge ground off the battery right to the body in the rear. the car cranks over great, just wont fire. :/
as for the fuel i have no clue whats going on with that issue. if you leave it sit for a day, (it would be bone dry in the cylinders) and then try and crank it it blows out a nice air to fuel mixture from the cylinders for about 5 to 8 seconds of cranking, then comes the hiccup and a the tidal wave of fuel. this may or may not be normal, i cant detrmine that yet, but its only out of the 2nd and 3rd cylinders.

I've got a '96 B18b1 in my DX sedan. Have you checked to see that the distributor is getting power? Have you gone through all the no-start checks in a Helms/Haynes manual?

i may have figured out the problem, my friend noted today that the engine harness that plugs into the car harness on the drivers side (right where the resistor box plug is located) is pinned different between crx dx, hf and a crx si. i have a crx si, with a crx dx engine harness and it may be causeing the problem seeint that the colors dont match up when they are plugged together. i have no idea why they would be pinned different between the models but thats the only thing i have to go with right now... :/

umm.... if you are using a crx dx engine harness on an si car with and LS, I'm assuming you've done an mpfi conversion to that dx harness... right?

also, if this car is an SI, why are you using a dx harness to begin with?

unless it is absolutely neccessary, rule of thumb for doing swaps in ED / EF...

+++USE THE HARNESS FROM THE CAR+++
