Default Useless features of a car alarm..??

If my car is non power anything, is it more reasonable to get a less expensive one than spending more on one that basically has more features for cars with power options..?? I want a good alarm, just dont know what differentiates each from the next one thats half the price seeming the same..??

Most alarms will come with things like power door lock controls and trunk release control, but you can save some money by getting the entry level version of a brand, the things you will not get on them would be extra EXT outputs, extra sensor inputs, more then one sensor.

The price of an alarm has a lot more to do with it's quality then what options it has. 94

Of course the price does, but we all know Viper is gonna be more expensive than Prestige any day of the week, but for us basic non-power equipped fellas, is it worth the extra change to get the viper...??

Can't forget about range too

Just like comparing a viper 791 to a viper 5900. The range cost more.

I have installed both Prestige and Viper alarms and both are well made and dependable systems, [if installed properly].

As long as you are sticking with "brand name" alarms you can't go wrong, if it is a choice between a Viper and a Prestige, pick the one that has the features you need/want, entry level units of both brands will have pretty much the same features, it will come down to what your looking for from an alarm. 94

Well I been lookin into the GPS alarms that they have out, but there are so many that are so new its hard to give an outlook on them, especially the ones with no monthly fee, those ones sound mostly to good to be true... I wanna be alerted immedietly once any trigger is set off, and if possible i'd like to know what set it off.. And as far as the siren itself goes I was going to do train horn setup for my alarms siren, but i've heard some pretty decent/extremely loud ones that have been catching my attention.. Do you guys know what viper alarm is the one that speaks "VIPER ARMED, VIPER DISARMED, ect...???"

thanks u guys rock...
