Default Do stock jdm mounts fit?????

I'm about to purchase a crx and a b16 from a friend that is still on the front clip and heard a rumor from some jackass that the mounts won't fit. It's coming off a ef9 and going into an ef8. shouldn't it work????

The stock B16 mounts from any EF/CRX chassis (Sedan or Wagon never came with B16's) only fit in EF swapped chassis. The easiest option to swap a B16 into an EF D series chassis is to simply buy the mounting kits that are made buy companies like HASport, Innovative (more can be found in a google search).

I know someone that cut the mount of the EF B16 chassis and welded it into place of the stock D series chassis. From my understanding the frame rails themselves are the same but the mount shape/location are different and he ground the welds and transfered it over, similar to the K swaps. I think he had to reinforce/modify. It held up great, but the stock bushings were a little worn out and he eventually had to get inserts.

yep. what he said is true. some guy tried to use stock b16 into ed8/ef mounts for his jdm ef9 and they didn't all work. he had to fab up one of the mounts i recall, maybe it was 2 of them. either way not going to work without dickin with em. as ludesrv mentioned just get a b-series into ef mount kit from hasport, innovative, avid, ebay, etc.

ok so i got the crx lst night and the motor should be here within a couple weeks.. say i do the innovative mounts, can I use the jdm linkage off of the clip? I've been told that it does work and the reason why hasport avid and all them make em is availablity of the original ones???????

linkage might be close, depends on the engine mounts. i would try the jdm linkage first, then buy some if necessary. heck you could probably mod it if it's just an inch or so
