Default High End Wheels for Hondas

I've been following the Honda/Acura racing scene since 1994 and noticed through the years that this market is really missing a true USA made, quality high end wheel. Now I'm not too sure if there is such a market for this or maybe the price point will be too high but regardless, I'm sure there is a market and a company should be able to capitalize on this! We're all used to the JDM wheel companies out there that produce high end wheels (Rays, Work, Mugen, Weds) at a substantially higher price point, but that's where it ends. I'm sure a US wheel manufacturer can step up to the plate and make some quality wheels for us! Anyone know who would be able to do that?

Well, there aren't many high end US-based manufacturers for wheels. And, even if there were, you'd still be paying the price premium. Wheels manufactured by higher end manufacturers come at a greater price for the quality of their production, not their location.

I agree that you'll still be paying a premium, but not at the greater price for the quality of their production. For the most part, what you are paying for is their overhead, marketing plans and profits. Sure multi piece wheels aren't as cheap as rota stamping wheels out, but it's still relatively inexpensive when they are making a bunch of them.

To the OP: There are some mainstream wheel makers in the US that have some good stuff, but i would personally rather support the hidden gems in our industry who are just starting out, or who having made a huge name for themselves yet. I know of at least 2 in my local area who kick ***. They spin barres and lips primarily for old school muscle cars and hot rods, but they have the ability to do ANYTHING up 18".
