So I just took my car to get the oil changed and the guy called and said that I had some oil leaks. Now I know I have some oil leaks cause I loose about a quart a month and I check it every time I get gas and fill up if needed, prolly not the best thing to do but thats what I do, so the guy told me that my oil pan was leaking which is a rather easy, just time consuming and dirty, job but he also said that my cam seals around my dizzy were leaking he called it the "distributor seal". I was looking through some manuels briefly to see if they are easy to replace or not and couldn't really find anything (before i hear a smart @ss comment this I didn'y look long! haha) My question is, is this easy to do? I am guessing I have to pull my dizzy and it some seals back there but do I have to redo timing as well? thx h-t
Fyi...da dizzy could be leaking internally. I currently have this leak, this requires dizzy replacement. this leak can also cause oil residue around the head. To check all u have to do is take the cap off and see if there's oil inside.

What all's involved in replacement?

If it is the seal on the shaft, just pull the dizzy off the head, pop the old one off, or in my case crack it off since its so old and brittle, put the new one on, put your dizzy back on, nice and snug with the new ring, and retime your car properly.
Oh and the ring was 2 bucks from Honda for me, and that's damn Canada pricing no less.
