Default addicted to Auto Cross...

Just completed my second Solo II event at the new Beaver Run race track. I have to say, I've never seen a testing/auto-x area that large in my life. There were times, we had three cars out at once.

I am definitely addicted. Although I don't have the optimal car for this type of an event it was definitely fun to push my car to the limit. Now I wish I had kept my Integra.

I'm going to try to link some images. If it doesn't work go to the thread I submitted on another forum.

Sounds like fun. In SoCal, the tracks are very big. We will frequently have 6 cars on the course. The larger courses make it much more fun.

Wow...when and where was this event??? I've been to every auto-x event for the past 3-1/2 years in LA region, and I have not seen one event with 6 cars on course. We usually have 3-4 cars on course, 5 the most but that's pushing it. If there were 6 cars on course, the course must be at least a 100-sec. course (calculated with a car about to finish, a car just left the start line, and at least 20 sec. in between cars). When was the last time we had a 100-sec. course??? Hm....the closest was the 80-sec. course (some people did finish in excess of 100 sec.) we had in Hollywood Park back in April this year.

I remember that course. It was e-n-o-r-m-o-u-s. The last time I ran at Hollywood Park (over a year ago) I hit the top of second gear (second run I shifted into third) which is around 70 mph! My lap times were still around 69.xx secs with bald tires. That course is always fast.

As for car count on a course, I've seen three cars at once...maybe four. But anyways...
