I need your help HONDA TECH! Horrible vehicle purchase experience....
Hey all! Hope all is well.
Well, as some of you may already know, I sold my S last week..... and got us a family car.
I purchased a couple year old/ fairly new GMC YUKON.. Its a really nice truck
I NEVER imagined myself getting into such a BIG vehicle! But, it made more sense giving my situation.
Anyways, regardless of the vehicle being a GREAT one ... My purchase experience was HORRIBLE!! and I need your help S2ki!
There are so many things that the sales guy told me that was a FLAT OUT LIE, but Im not going to get into all of it. Just the one that pisses me off the MOST.
When I took her for a test drive, the sales guy (Fred Halls) had to go inside the building to get the key out. When he came out, he used a key-less entry remote to unlock the doors.
When I noticed him doing that, I asked him "Oh, so this truck comes with key-less entry?" He replied "YES, here it is".
I thought that was pretty cool that they gave that, considering that it was a used model...and how usually when an owner is returning a vehicle, they only give ONE key back. It stuck out to me just for that purpose, and I thought it was cool
After all of the paperwork was signed, the sales manager walked us out to our newly purchased vehicle, and handed us our KEY.
Notice, that I said KEY.
When he handed me this key (Gradie is his name) I asked him where the key-less entry remote was.
He responded saying that NO pre owned vehicle comes with key-less entry, and it is the purchasers responsibility to purchase the extra remote at an additional cost.
WTF??
THIS IS NOT WHAT THE SALES PERSON TOLD ME!!
And, the key-less entry is NOT that big of a deal to me...Its the concept of the lie... that, and how once the sale was completed, I got the impression from GRADIE (sales manager) that he couldnt give half of a ****.
So, long story short... I need a favor from S2ki, please....
When all of this went down, I told Gradie that I am REALLY PISSED OFF and he needs to fix the situation. He basically told me that he needs to talk to parts about it, and he would get back to me by Monday
ya right, I knew that he was just feeding me BS to get me to leave the lot.
So, I patiently waited till Monday (today) for a phone call back. Guess what? No phone call back.
I called him a few hours ago, to remind him about the situation, and he was really nice on the phone...Until he realized who I was... then, he pulled that "I'm too busy at the moment and let me call you back in an hour BS"
No phone call back again...
What I need you to do is (if you have time) Is call Martin Chevrolet 310-378-0211 and ask to speak to Gradie...
Mention that you were interested in purchasing a new Chevy or something of that nature.. but now, all of a sudden changed your mind about your purchase since reading about Alex's experience (White Tahoe purchased on Friday) regarding the key-less entry remote...
I told him that I was going to do this... and he thought that I was bluffing
Please S2ki...Can you please help me?? I want low life dealerships like this to learn their lesson and not feed BS to customers just to get the sale!!!
if I was aware of this before I signed the paper work, I would have NEVER bought the car.
Thank you, Please let me know what happens :tipwink:

Feel free to post comments here, or on there.
Thank you in advance!!

I was following your story on s2ki, I hope the dealer is feeling the pain.
I used to work for a dealer as a salesman, and if anyone made a mistake, the dealer should take the hit and provide the customer what they are entitled to, no questions asked. It just seems they don't care about customer satisfaction. If they send a survey like my dealership does, then give them a horrible review.

dood... haha
the dealer isnt going to care too much. you shouldnt have driven the car off the lot till you got what you wanted.. even if you sign the papers and get everything done.. your not contracted to the vehicle until you drive it off the lot. too bad you didnt have my number. I wouldve got you taken care of.

He wouldn't give it to me...
I even called to ask like I was a random customer, but I think he was on to me. Because, he claimed he does not have one.
