depends on the state. They can really limit how dark you can have it. It also depends on the owner. Some like tint and others do not.

Tinted strip on windshield, full hatch door, and as you can see - rear windows. It is dark as hell inside, though...

It's legal here. 35% max on the fronts, whatever on the backs as long as you have all three mirrors. I have 35% front, 20% back.

Depends on the type of tint too....my 00 civic is hard to see out at night a little, but my 91 integra is easy to see out of and both are tinted about the same but different tint. The integra is more of a mirror than a deep black like on the civic.

My buddies old crx: 5% all around

Im doing dark tint on my rex for next summer. It looks so dope and makes the interior so private and inclusive. Feels naked without it.

^ Just noticed your from Manitoba, I think he sold that crx to someone from Manitoba lol

max in arkansas is like 20% i think but most tint shops will give you what you want for a lil extra. the cops dont mind either, they got alot of worse things to keep them busy. theres also a new "thing" here and thats tinting your front windsheild. lol looks cool but about as dangerous as letting a blind man drive.

tint was the very first thing i do to any car i drive.keep folks out ya business.

this is the best pic i could find but mine is mirror tint. if you look at it straight on you cant hardly see in at all, and it keeps the suns heat out but its not too dark at night. here is GA i think it may not be legal but i have never had a problem. hope this helps

SC car laws FTW!
No inspection
No tint law
you can buy a brand new car and put 3 inch straight piping on it with no cat converter and tint the windows 0%..... now that's love

State laws for cali are as follows:
Front Driver/Passenger----NO TINT AT ALL (if you do and are caught you get fix-it-ticket)
anything behind those doors as dark as you want.

here in pa, i believe its 70% limit. which is ridiculous cuz many SUVs and vans have darker tint than that. nothing can be on the windshield when it comes to tint either (with exception of the tint strip from the factory). I had 30% tint and got hassled all the time.

damn, California has some strict rules, you can't do anything. Doesn't really matter to me though, because IMO tinting your windows makes your car look like a Hot Wheels toy, very cheesy and cartoony. Plus, why the hell would I want to hide what I have in my car?! My car has one thing that no one else has, ME!

On second thought, maybe the stricter CA laws are better. I got pulled over at 4AM in my del Sol, B18C1 swap with no CARB legal anything (header, intake, intake manifold), exposed cam gears, no cat converter, etc etc....and it turns out he only pulled me over for having tint on the front windows. No hood poppage...just a $10 ticket. Phew.
