Don't really know about the '93, but my '94 was supposed to be somewhere in between 135lbs to 175lbs. Mine was really low with just 90lbs.

It's just the pressure that builds up in the cylinders. Simple check tells whether you might be getting blow-by around the rings. Or in my case if the engine is wore out.
